On 28th October during the National Award for Private Enterprises, for the first time in Romania was given The “Lean Manufacturing” Special Price at the Parliament Palace of Bucharest for the firm who obtained the best results by implementing a pilot project (included in IMPROMAN project) aiming to increase productivity and decrease operational costs.
This two years project financed by the Flanders’s government and CNIPMMR included 10 pilot projects. The firms nominated for the price were: PRINCO GROUP SA specialized in production of small wood items/furniture by massive wood panels;  TECHNOELECTRIC SRL specialized in designing and producing switchboards for cooling installations automation; TOPEX PUBLIC SWITCHING SA specialized in designing and producing telecommunications equipment. The Lean Award was offered to PRINCO GROUP SA – the most active firm in the filed of improving productivity and decreasing the operational costs. The price was handed by the Professor Hendrik Van Landeghem from the Ghent University, the promoter of the IMPROMAN project.
